Gameplay[]

Battlethingz was a 1v1 turn-based game where each player would battle using a creature they had created. Each creature was composed of a head, body, and tail. Each body part had a level, cost, stats, and moves. Players would select a move to use each turn, and both moves would happen simultaneously once both players had chosen. If a player does not choose a move by the end of the turn timer, their creature does nothing for the turn.

The goal was to reduce the opponent's creature's health to zero. The winner would earn some points depending on the level of the creatures in battle, which was determined by the levels of their body parts. The winner would then have the option to buy and swap one body part from a selection of random body parts at each level.

Each body part allowed for three different moves to be used specific to that species and type of body part. Energy was a resource that each creature would spend to use moves and recover gradually each turn. In addition to direct attacks, there were moves that would create effects that dealt damage over time and moves that could counter an opponent's move.

As levels increased, the cost of body parts, their stats, and the effectiveness of their moves would also increase. Additional species of body parts were available at higher levels, but fewer choices were available, making specific body parts more difficult to acquire.
